Sarah Sugden decided to stop seeking a boyfriend. The nineteen-year-old made a bold decision to have a child. She disclosed to Vanessa that she wanted to have a baby through IVF. She told her about her visits to the clinic to check her eligibility. Vanessa was concerned about her, but Sarah was firm.
To fulfil her desire to have a baby, she underwent some tests which disclosed that she had an inflamed cervix. She goes to the hospital in the upcoming episodes to collect the biopsy results. She goes alone as she hasn’t told anyone about it. However, Sarah receives horrible news. She learns that she has cervical cancer. Though it is in early stages, it is difficult news to process. However, she learns that she can still have a baby.
Jacob Gallagher Comforts Sarah!
When she leaves the room, she meets Jacob Gallagher, who is on a shift at the hospital. She tries to act strong in front of him, but he guesses that something is wrong. However, she has a meltdown and discloses to Jacob Gallagher about her cancer.
Being a medic and her ex-boyfriend is also shocked to learn this, as he knows what Sarah has to go through after her diagnosis. He consoles her and later asks her how she found out about this.
Sarah discloses that she wants to have a baby through IVF and that she has been visiting the hospital to check her eligibility. But Jacob’s reaction shocks her. He is surprised to learn this and tells her about the potential danger. Jacob warns her about how the disease could impact her child.
