The latest Emmerdale spoilers revealed that Will Taylor has passed away due to the Christmas chaos created by Joe Tate. Joe came unannounced on Kim and Will’s Christmas vow renewal and created a scene by bringing forth Will’s past motives to bring Kim down. Though Will was initially a part of Joe’s plan, he didn’t know it was him pulling the strings—initially, he thought it was Jamie Tate who was behind all these.
However, when Will realized his feelings for Kim, he tried to back out of the plan. However, Joe was never fond of Kim. Even six years ago, he tried to take her down – now, his chances seem even better. At the Home Farm, he exposed Will, and it only resulted in a confrontation between Kim and Will. This eventually caused his heart attack. Initially, Kim thought it was just a panic attack or maybe a trick, but she panicked when Will stopped responding. Though she called 999, Will was long gone when the emergency services arrived.
As the week progressed, Kim failed to get over the guilt of Will’s death. In the meantime, Lydia supported her friend and brought food to the grieving family. But in a surprising turn of events, Joe collapsed next to his bed in the recently aired episode. What’s wrong with Joe? Was there something in the food? We don’t know yet.
Dawn and Billy’s Suspicions
Dawn also came to the Home Farm with her husband to grieve her father’s death. She seemed worried about Kim as he had become a widow for the second time. Though she couldn’t be there with her father in the last moments, she felt pity for Kim after knowing how she intended to save him with chest compressions. However, Joe’s presence at the Home Farm wasn’t sitting well with her. She didn’t like having him around, and later, when Billy informed her about Joe’s past, her dislike became even more concrete.
Meanwhile, Joe went to talk to his brother Noah, who wasn’t in for a positive conversation with him, and asked why he returned. Although Joe tried to show his concern for Noah and explained the whole Kim-Will situation, Charity soon came in and took her son away by accusing him of being a “cold-blooded manipulator.” As soon as Joe walked away, we saw Billy chiming in to inform Charity about Joe’s presence at the time of Will’s death. Though Billy thought it to be just a “strange coincidence,” Charity doubted it when she said, “Nothing’s ever a coincidence where Joe Tate’s concerned.“
Later, we saw Billy warning Dawn about Joe’s real character. Billy just learned about his shady history from Charity and what he did to deceive Debbie, and he’s shocked. Billy and Dawn’s suspicions only grow from here as he reveals that Kim had attempted to kill Joe once. He further doubts Kim and Will’s flowery relationship and Joe’s sudden appearance at Home Farm. But Dawn’s doubt shook us to the core when she asked – “You think he murdered my dad?”
It seemed to us that it was Kim who was partly responsible for Will’s death. But did Joe have a role to play in it, too? What are Joe’s true motives? We don’t know yet. Let’s wait for the upcoming Emmerdale spoilers to reveal the rest. Till then, stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for all the major soap updates!
