Emmerdale cast and bosses have hinted that the villain will soon be exposed. Now, Cain Dingle actor Jeff Hordley has spilled the beans with a clue that seals Tom’s fate. Speaking to The Mirror and other press, Jeff discussed the shocking abuse storyline involving Tom and Belle Dingle.
Next week, the plot takes a terrifying turn. Viewers know that for months, Tom has been tormenting Belle. He has been coercively manipulating her before turning violent. Jeff insisted, “This is what we have to see.” He hinted that Tom will likely lead to his exit from the show.
The soap star confirmed that there would be consequences, highlighting that everyone cares deeply for Belle. He noted the importance of addressing coercive behaviour in relationships. He praised the show for telling this story over a realistic period, as these situations often span years, not just months.
Jeff stated, “It’s his little sister. If someone hurts his little sister, there’s no saying what Cain would do.” Actress Emma added that the characters would do whatever was necessary. The Cain actor commented, “I think it was almost inevitable that there was gonna be a time where Cain was gonna get wind of what’s been going on.”
He also noted how interesting it was that Cain, once an unpopular character with viewers, is now seen as a hero who can step in and save the day. However, not always in a kind manner. Regarding Tom, the ITV star pointed out that he is clever in his manipulations and has been hiding his actions very effectively.
