Connor Reveals Aidan Is Alive!
Last year, when John arrived in the village, Victoria discovered a set of army dog tags engraved with the name Aidan Moore on them. When she asked John about them, he confessed that they were from his best friend, who had died while they were serving together in Afghanistan. He shared that he tried to save him during a bomb explosion, but he died. In the recent episodes, when Victoria realised that John had no one to come to his stag party, she decided to invite his old army friends.
In Tuesday’s episode, Victoria met John’s old army friend, Connor, at Hide. She told him that John didn’t know what she was up to. She added that John was now happy and working as a medic. Connor was surprised as he thought John wouldn’t be a medic after what happened to Aidan.
Connor let the secret out, disclosing that John and Aidan weren’t just friends, but were engaged and ready to marry. When Victoria said that John still blames himself for Aaron’s death, he disclosed that Aaron was alive. He was in a coma and was living at a hospital in Leeds.

Later when Victoria asked John about inviting old friends to the party he shared that he didn’t want them as they knew Aidan and he didn’t want a ghost at the wedding. Then Victoria went to the hospital to see Aidan.
She saw him but left when the nurse stepped in. Victoria confronted John and told him that she met Connor who disclosed the truth about Aidan. Victoria pleaded with him to tell the reason for hiding the truth.
John said that everything that he had told about Aidan was true, except that he was dead. He shared that he would let him die. The medic explained that Aidan’s brain was lacking oxygen, and since then, he has been in a coma. He added that by saving him, he has just trapped him in a living death.
Victoria tried to console him and said that it wasn’t his fault. However, John asked Victoria to hide this from Aaron, as he might lose him. But Victoria said that she won’t lie.
