When the lake is dredged and a body is found, Ruby, Caleb, Cain, and Chas immediately suspect that it is Anthony’s body. However, soon they learn that it is not Anthony’s body. The police authorities reveal that the body is that of Nate Robinson, who left the village due to a new job in Shetland last year in September. Meanwhile, soap fans know when Cain hit Nate Robinson badly due to the false allegations of an affair with Moira Dingle.
However, John Sugden, in an attempt to save him, gave him medication, but it resulted in a side effect, leading to his death. Then he dumped Nate’s body in the lake. In the upcoming episodes, the police inform Tracy Metcalfe that Nate Robinson’s body is in the lake, not Anthony’s. Meanwhile, Cain and Moira Dingle also receive the shocking news. They learn that the body is so decomposed that Cain can’t even see his son.
