Adele Silva played the character of Kelly Windsor in the show. She was part of the soap from 1993 to 2000. Furthermore, she kept appearing in many scenes till 2011. Kelly arrived in the village with Vic and Viv. She had a romantic bond with her stepbrother Scott.
However, later she married Roy Glover. But due to personal struggles, including financial issues, an affair and pregnancy with an uncertain father, she attempted suicide.
Later, Kelly returned to the village and entered a relationship with Jimmy King. However, it ended as she had a secret abortion. Then Kelly went to London, leaving her child, Elliot, with Jimmy.

Meanwhile, recently, the former Emmerdale star, Adele Silva, opened up about her dream to come back to the soap world. So, is she returning to the Dales? She appeared in an interview with The Sun, where she was asked whether she would like to come back to the village again. Adele said yes. However, she added that, honestly, she would love to do EastEnders.
Adele added that there is a reason for this. Many people have told her that she would be ideal for the rival show. She is from Streamham in South London. Adele said that joining a Northern farming community soap was surreal. She added that viewing figures in the South were flagging, so the soap had to bring in a London family.
The star said that EastEnders would be a dream. She grew up in a household where, at 7:30, everything was quiet as her mother would be watching the show. Thus, she is manifesting as a part of it.
