On Valentine’s Day, 17 characters set off in two different limos, only for both vehicles to crash midway. One limo ends up in an especially dangerous situation and gets stranded on an icy lake.
Actor Comments On the Drastic Turn
Emma Atkins, who plays Charity Dingle, has stated that the crash will have long-lasting effects on the village. Speaking about the dramatic scenes, she shared her admiration for the cast and crew and encouraged viewers to tune in. She said, “It’s high drama, very emotional, and let us just say do not miss it—because you’re in for an absolute ride of a lifetime.”
AAtkins also revealed the viewers will see the crash’s consequences unfold over several months. It will impact many characters’ relationships. Talking about the scene, the actor also mentioned how much careful planning it took from the design and special effects team to bring the whole sequence to life.
How the Shoots Were Done
The icy lake, a key part of the crash, was built on the set to allow for secure filming without leaking spoilers. She mentioned, “We had a special team to make the ice out of wax. It looks incredible. I took the most amazing panoramic view photo; I was spellbound. It was like something from a Marvel movie.”
While Charity appears to be driving the girl’s limo in the scenes, Atkins admits she wasn’t. She was actually behind the wheel due to safety reasons. She said, “No, and I was gutted when I realized that I won’t be able to in real life. For health and safety reasons, I really wanted to drive a limo. They put a television screen beside me, just outside the driver’s seat, playing footage of someone driving. They’ve made it look like I was driving.”
