Kelli Hollis played Ali Spencer between 2011 and 2015 in Emmerdale. The former soap star opened up on an interesting behind-the-scenes secret. She shared the wages of the cast members. When one of her soap fans asked Kelli how soap salaries worked during her time on the show, she gave the answer with utter honesty. Kelli Hollis revealed that she was paid £500 per episode.
Furthermore, the former Emmerdale actor also explained what a typical contract would look like. She said that on the soap, the actor gets an episode fee and they are guaranteed many episodes per year. She explained that if someone gets £500 per episode and has a contract of 90 episodes, they will earn £45000. It is a good salary.

Kelli Hollis said that the case is different with different actors, as it is not the highest pay that one can expect. The famous actors get more. The amount she earned was average. During her time on the show, one of the highest-paid stars was getting £1000 per episode. She also added that she never knew the exact amount, as different actors earn different wages. The former show star said that it would be £45000, but they also get a buyout, which is the same amount as the wage, so it adds up to £9000. However, the actors also have to pay commission to the agents, which is usually 12.5 per cent. Furthermore, one has to pay tax up to 40 per cent.
