Emmerdale fans have been speculating about the show’s future amid a series of exits. Now, actor Mark Charnock has finally talked about his future in the soap. Over the past few weeks, the ITV drama has bid farewell to several casts. It started with Daisy Campbell, who played Amelia Spencer, and then Dean Andrews, who played Will Taylor—and many are lined up. The actor has been making headlines for the past few weeks due to April’s disappearance. Now, we can’t help but wonder if he is also lined up for an exit.
Mark Reflects On His Journey
While talking to The Mirror, Mark Charnock talked about his tenure on the show, stating that you shouldn’t take anything for granted. He even mentioned that nothing can be said until the next contract is renewed. Though he has had an amazing run of luck and enjoyed every moment of the show, he is a “terrible worrier.” He opened up about how he keeps muttering his lines while driving and constantly thinks about his scenes.
Mark has also opened up about the recent storyline he’s a part of – April Windsor, his on-screen daughter’s disappearance. Right now, Marlon, Mark’s character, is going through any parent’s worst nightmare. Since April got kidnapped and got to know about her mother’s death, she has changed. First, it started with depression, then it progressed into addiction, and finally, she disappeared from the village on Christmas Day.
Nobody has left any stone unturned to get leads in April, but there’s been no luck. Commenting on the storyline, Mark said, “There’s a village-wide concern because they all know her really well. Everybody knows each other well, and it’s so out of character. It escalates, this storyline, so this is just the beginning.”
Another Heartbreaking Exit Coming Up
Talking about the upcoming exits from the Dales – rumors are wide about Leyla Harding, aka Roxy Shahidi, Lesley Dunlop, aka Brenda Walker, Susan Cookson, aka Wendy Posner, and Paula Lane, aka Ella Foster.
