The upcoming wedding of John and Aaron is full of twists and turns. Oliver Farnworth, who plays John Sugden in the soap, opened up on the upcoming plot. He shared that there is so much danger surrounding John. He said Aidan is in the hospital. John thought that he would remain there all his life. But he has gained consciousness.
Meanwhile, soap viewers know that John was confessing to him all the time. So, how much does he remember about Nate’s death? John accidentally killed him while giving him medication, which led to his death. Later, he dumped his body in the lake.
In the recent episodes, John framed Mack to get revenge on him. So, due to the slurry leak, the lake needs to be dredged. It’s John’s fault as due to him the water supply of the village is contaminated.
John is feeling bad about it as his secret might be out when the lake is dredged. The actor revealed that there is a week of special wedding episodes and each of them starts with John having a nightmare. He imagines going to prison for Nate’s murder. In another nightmare he imagines, Aidan imagines exposing his secrets.

Oliver shared that when he first read the script, he was excited by the changed format. He added that each episode is unique, with potential outcomes, as a lot of them are just in John’s head. Oliver said people will get used to the pattern after the first episode. He even praised the writers for bringing such a storyline.
The actor then said that when John was revealed as Nate’s killer to the viewers, that scene was filmed soon after he arrived in the Dales. They filmed everything at the barn fire. He added that it is cool when the audience knows the secret before the villagers.
Oliver said John loves Aaron so it is difficult for him to flee. He has never been in an honest relationship before so it is quite refreshing for him. So, John wants to marry him and leave for honeymoon. He could leave everything but he has Victoria and Harry too. Meanwhile, soap fans are eager – What will happen when the villagers find the truth?
