However, soon she started dating Liam Cavanagh. But the villagers were suspicious of her due to her mysterious behaviour. The soap fans and the villagers soon learned that she had killed a friend of hers during her childhood. She felt jealous and attacked Joanne. Though the police arrested her, her past continued haunting her.
After learning about her, people started avoiding her. Later, Liam got close to Chas Dingle. The villagers even accused Ella of tampering with Chas’s medicines, which led to her collapse. She asked Liam for a second chance and tried to prove her innocence, but no one believed her.

In her final scenes, she went to Liam’s house and held him captive. Later, she ran, and Liam followed her. She ended up hitting Liam and thought that he was not. However, the police arrived and arrested her. The soap fans learned that John was responsible for Chas’s collapse.
