Ned Porteous Opens Up About Joe’s Behaviour And Actions!
Ned Porteous, reflected on Joe’s character, admitting that though Joe is a very selfish human being, he might care a little about Caleb in some way. According to him, he isn’t a complete psychopath and heartless. Despite knowing that he might have to face serious consequences, his own life comes first.
He also answered – Why didn’t Joe go through the NHS? While he appreciates the brilliant National Health Service in the country, he pointed out its drawback too – the long waiting hours for transplant. With his life at risk, Joe would do anything to jump the list. He can’t afford to wait for months for the transplant procedure.
Reflecting on whether Joe would listen to Crowley and leave the Dales, Ned hinted that many things in the village are pulling Joe’s attention. If Caleb realises that Joe is healthy again, then what will happen next? Even his relationship with Dawn, if genuine, could be a reason for him to stay. Even in his family, he is just left with Noah, adding one more reason to not leave Dales.
Emmerdale: Caleb Is A Match – Will Joe Be Successful?
Coming to the storyline, soap viewers recently found out that Joe has AAT deficiency that he has inherited from his grandfather, Frank Tate. After diagnosis, it was revealed that he has chronic kidney disease that can be cured by getting a new organ. Since then, he has been searching for a potential kidney donor.
He targeted many people, including Noah, Manpreet and Caleb. When Noah failed to meet his expectations, he manipulated Manpreet into unethically getting blood samples of Caleb for testing. Unaware of the complete story, she handled them to Joe who further passed it to Crowley. The Cobbles doctor confirmed that Caleb was a match, leading to their final meeting where they decided to bring Caleb unconsciously.
Crowley insisted that they must leave Dales immediately after treatment but Joe seemed unwilling. Even though he won’t admit he still has feelings for Dawn. The important question is – Will Joe succeed in his plan? Will he follow Crowley’s advice? The upcoming episodes will reveal everything. Keep following Soap Opera Daily for more Emmerdale updates!
