The Massive Crash
What started as a fun night out turned into a deadly one. The upcoming scenes show that the continuation of the limo crash storyline will continue to only get tense. They were two separate groups of villagers who were involved in the limo crash on Valentine’s Day.
While one limo was for the girl’s group, another belonged to the men of the village. However, things soon took an unexpected turn, and both the vehicles crashed on the icy roads, and one limo ended up taking a plunge into the icy lake.
The stunt itself has been described as one of the soap’s biggest, especially with the special effects and the night shoots. William Ash, who plays Caleb Milligan, has shared his experience of filming the dramatic sequences and called it a unique experience.
He said, “We were doing night shoots, which, although it is kind of really hard work, we don’t get a chance to do that a lot on Emmerdale. So we felt like naughty school kids, being allowed out of school. And there’s all that atmosphere, you know, an exciting atmosphere.”
What the Stars Have to Say
He also added, “It is really exciting filming at night. But also, for this block, they got all the toys out, and they spent a lot of money. It certainly seemed like they spent a lot of money on all the special effects, the equipment, and the actual stunt itself. The aftermath of the stunt is mind-blowing when you see it. It felt really real. It was amazing to be part of it, and lives will be in peril.”
Meanwhile, Laura Norton, who plays Kerry Wyatt, on Emmerdale agreed with Ash’s sentiments and emphasized the emotional weight that will come along with it. She said, “When a soap does a big stunt week like this. It’s amazing to be a part of it. The teamwork, the camaraderie, the collaboration made it a real bonding experience.”
