The soapverse thrives on unexpected and bizarre pairings that have the caliber to spill oodles of drama. ITV’s Emmerdale is no exception. Over the years we have seen several pairings on the soap that have left us bewildered. But, hey, we aren’t complaining! It’s all part of the fun! Now, the latest set of spoilers tease another such relationship that’s set to be the backdrop of the upcoming Harvest Fest on the show.
If you haven’t guessed it already, we are indeed talking about Laurel Thomas and Charles Anderson. Previously, Charles was in a relationship with Manpreet, whom he initially knew as Saira. However, that relationship came crashing down when Charles’ son Ethan heartbreakingly passed away.
Meanwhile, Emmerdale spoilers confirm that Laurel is still dealing with a messy divorce with Jai Sharma, who has no intentions of letting Laurel off the hook so easily. However, that drama is not going to stand in the way of what’s loading for her and Charles. In the upcoming episodes, Laurel may lock horns with Charles and his mother, as they feel Laurel’s ideas for the Harvest festival are too “radical”.
However, the spoilers tease that their story could take the classic “enemies to lovers” turn when sparks start flying between Charles and Laurel. Honestly speaking, we wouldn’t be that surprised if it happens, after all, Laurel does have a taste for men of God, and Charles is a vicar! I fact, she was even previously married to Ashley, Charles’ predecessor.
