Cain Dingle was shot during a fight between John Sugden and Robert Sugden. However, things didn’t work out great for Kit as he was knocked out by John. Then the medic pointed out the shotgun at his brother. However, it was Cain who took the brunt of the bullet while John ran into the forest.
Kit Green stumbled after him. Not wanting Kit to take all the credit, Cain said that he was fine and ran after John. Robert followed him. However, the soap fans learned that Cain Dingle was taken to the hospital before he got the chance to get his hands on John.

The doctor informed that the scans for his injuries had uncovered a sizable mass. This could be cancerous. He added that Cain Dingle will need to undergo further tests to find out the truth.
