If you thought things were finally calming down for Sally and Tim in Coronation Street, think again. After everything they’ve been through recently, it looks like another big moment is coming their way, and fans have plenty to say about it.
Tim’s Foster Plans Spark a Whole New Chapter
Tim’s been pretty set on the idea of fostering ever since what happened to Mason Radcliffe earlier this year. Mason was tragically killed by his brother, and that really hit Tim hard. He wanted to help kids who might be struggling, and that’s when the whole fostering idea started.
Sally wasn’t on board at first, which honestly made sense. Their kids are grown up, and they’ve both got jobs. But Tim didn’t exactly wait around, he went ahead and arranged a meeting with social services behind Sally’s back. She wasn’t happy, but eventually, she started to come around.
Mick’s Escape Turns Deadly in Coronation Street
But just when it looked like things were moving forward, everything exploded. Mick, who’d been locked up for murdering PC Craig Tinker, managed to escape from prison. And his first stop was Weatherfield High. Turns out Brody tipped him off that Joanie was at Weatherfield High.
But luckily, Sally had already picked her up after Joanie was upset about kids teasing her. At the school, Mick stormed in, demanding Joanie be handed over. He locked Daniel and Mrs Crawshaw in an office and then made a dash for the street.
Meanwhile, Sally was showing Joanie around the Underworld, completely unaware of what was coming. Mick showed up, stormed inside, and held Tim and Sarah Platt hostage. DC Kit Green, who used to be friends with Mick, tried to stop him, but Mick stabbed him and left him seriously injured.
While all that chaos was happening downstairs, Sally quietly led Joanie up to the roof. When Mick followed them up there, Sally stood her ground. She told him straight: she was going to take care of Joanie and Shanice and give them the kind of life he couldn’t. That’s when Mick gave himself up.

Now that Mick’s back behind bars and Lou is still in prison after attacking Gary Windass (and leaving him secretly in a coma, by the way!), fans are already thinking about what’s next for Sally and Tim. Spoilers suggest Lou won’t be getting out any time soon, so what happens to the girls?
