Kym Marsh had an emotional Christmas this year as she welcomed her fourth grandchild on Christmas Day. The former Coronation Street star shared the happy news herself, praising her daughter’s strength and calling the arrival the best Christmas gift she could have asked for.
A Christmas Day Post That Spoke Volumes
On Christmas Day, Kym took to Instagram to announce the birth, sharing a carousel of photos of the newborn alongside his siblings. She described the moment as a wonderful Christmas gift. Rather than keeping the spotlight on herself, Kym focused her message on her daughter Emilie and son-in-law Mikey. She made it clear how proud she felt, especially of how the couple handled such a big moment on such an important day. Fans quickly filled the comments with love and congratulations.
Kym revealed that her new grandson is named Bobby Saint Mykola Hoszowskyj. She described him as beautiful and shared that the family instantly fell in love with him. She praised her daughter Emilie, saying she was incredibly proud of her and calling her a warrior.
Kym also made sure to give credit to her son-in-law Mikey. Replying to one follower, Kym shared more details about how quickly everything happened. She said Bobby weighed 7lb 6oz and explained that Emilie had a very quick labour, arriving at the hospital at 10:25am.

Kym is already a proud grandmother, known as “Yaya,” to Emilie’s son Teddy and step-daughter Polly, as well as her son David’s son, Clay. Bobby’s arrival officially makes him her fourth grandchild. More recently, she appeared in the Channel 5 thriller The Imposter, which was filmed in Melbourne, Australia, alongside Neighbours legend Jackie Woodburne and singer Dannii Minogue. She has also continued working on stage, starring in Fatal Attraction, 101 Dalmatians, and Abigail’s Party.
In the New Year, she is set to tour the UK in Single White Female with EastEnders star and TV chef Lisa Faulkner. And clearly, showbiz runs in the family. Daughter Emilie has also appeared alongside her mum in the UK tour of Greatest Days: The Musical.
While soap fans will always remember her as Michelle Connor on Coronation Street, Kym has stayed busy since leaving the cobbles in 2019.
