Joe Absolom Joins Emmerdale!
Actor Joe Absolom recently appeared in Silent Witness, and ITV’s Code of Silence is set to join Emmerdale. He will play the character of a mechanic named Ray, who is an old acquaintance of Mackenzie Boyd. Besides that, the new arrival also appeared in EastEnders from 1997 to 2000. He played the character of Matthew Rose in the soap. Joe Absolom has also appeared in AI Large, where he played the character of Doc Martin. Besides that, he made an appearance as Andy Waren in The Bay season 2.
In Emmerdale, Ray will appear calm and friendly on the outside, but will have a darker side. He shows up saying that he is there to sell farm equipment, but it is soon revealed that he is involved in drug dealing. This might create trouble for Mackenzie Boyd. Elsewhere, Joe Absolom also expressed gratitude for the new role. He praised the show, calling it iconic and shared his excitement for his character, Ray.

The soap’s producer, Laura Shaw, shared that they were excited to welcome Joe Absolom to the soap. She hinted that he would be playing the role of antagonist. She added that Joe is highly talented and enthusiastic. Laura said Ray is an extremely complex character who is charismatic and attractive, but also shows his dark side to some of the villagers. He will show what he is capable of.
Meanwhile, Joe Absolom is the second new character of a rival soap joining Emmerdale this week. Earlier, Casualty actor Jaye Griffiths also joined the cast. She is set to enter the village as Celia.
