She portrays Liz, an A&E physician who is attracted into a ethicallyc omplicated situation in the course of a suspenseful night shift. Her darker appearance indicates the somber tone of the character and plot. The show revolves around four friends who were introduced in antenatal class, whose relationship is put to the test when one of them is accused of injuring her baby.
A Role That Tests Friendships
In the opening episode, Liz is on call when her friend Jess brings in her daughter Betsy with a head injury. Jess seems reluctant to explain what happened, forcing Liz to follow medical protocol and involve social services.
