Rachael Gill Davis Left The Soap This Year!
Rachael Gill Davis, who played Gail Loman in the soap, exited a few weeks ago. She was in a relationship with Ryan Stocks. Gail worked at the Woolpack. She felt underappreciated in her job. Gail arranged for a Mr. and Mrs. game at Mandy Dingle’s salon. When Gail and Ryan played the game, their answers didn’t match with each other. Gail got furious and realised that she was no longer compatible with Ryan Stocks. Their goals didn’t align with each other, and she wanted more from life.
Later, she told him that she spoke to her friend, Frannie and would go to do a job in Devon. Though he was heartbroken, he had to let her go. In the last scenes, Mary Goskirk drove Gail out of the village. She played the character in 2019 but returned in 2023 to reprise her full-time role. Along with Rachael, many other cast members, including Roxy Shahidi as Leyla Harding, Paula Lane as Ella and Martelle Edinburgh as Suzy, also left the soap this year.
Rachael Is Set For Her Next Play!
As Rachael has exited the soap, the former Emmerdale star is busy doing theatre as she is rehearsing for a play called St. Joan, produced by George Bernard Shaw. She will play the character of Joan of Arc in the play that will run from August 16 to 23 in Cheltenham and Malvern.
After her exit, she posted an Instagram picture along with the caption, sharing that it was a crazy journey. She wanted to thank everyone for their support, adding that the soap fans are fabulous.
