Jurell Carter played the character of Nate Robinson in the soap. He was the son of Cara and Cain Dingle. Nate came to the village seeking revenge on Cain, who he thought had abandoned him and his mother by having an affair with Moira. In 2019, he was hired at Butler’s farm. He also kissed Rhona and was fired, but got his job back soon. Furthermore, Nate was also in a relationship with Amy Wyatt.
Later, Nate married Tracy Metcalfe. However, he decided to leave her and their daughter, Frankie, to start a new life in Shetland. Furthermore, he also fought with Cain Dingle. Though he was ready for the new opportunity, his story took a tragic turn due to John Sugden.
