Kurtis Stacey played the character of Alex Moss in the soap. He was a hunky farmer between 2011 and 2012 in the show. But now he is a part of the new Hollyoaks plot. Earlier, he had two other minor roles in the soap opera. In the new storyline, Kurtis Stacey will play the role of a new police officer who is a part of the plot involving undercover police detective Connor Sullivan.
His character’s name is Smithy, who will upset people with his misogynistic comments and suspicious remarks. The character had celebrated his birthday on the Cheshire-based show, and fans have noticed his earlier soap history. They took to social media to have a discussion on the actor’s role.
A soap fan took to Reddit and wrote that they recognised Smithy, the new police officer, who played the character of Alex Moss in Emmerdale. Meanwhile, recently, after Hollyoaks aired his return, the actor took to his page on X and said that much more will come. Earlier, he had played the role of a customer at The Loft who fought with Ste in 2011. Furthermore, Kurtis has played the role of a different police officer in 2024.

Elsewhere in 2011, Kurtis played Alex in Emmerdale. He worked at Butlers Farm under John Barto. However, his character’s story came to an end when, on Christmas Eve, murderer Cameron Murray killed him. Since leaving the soap, he has travelled across the country performing in pantomimes and was also a part of the celebration edition of Mastermind.
