It looks like the real drama isn’t unfolding in Port Charles but in the courtroom, where former General Hospital star Ingo Rademacher just hit a major roadblock. The actor, known for playing Jax on the long-running soap, was hoping for his day in court against ABC soap, but he might not have one. Rademacher’s latest motion was denied, officially shutting down his legal battle with the network. Let’s spill the tea!
General Hospital Alum’s Courtroom Drama!
Rademacher’s exit from General Hospital in November 2021 was anything but quiet. After refusing to comply with ABC’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate, the actor was shown the door, leading him straight to the courthouse. He claimed religious discrimination and sued ABC, and the judge ruled against him. Rademacher’s decision was based on health concerns, not religion, making his case dead on arrival.
But just when we thought that the drama was over, the former GH star made a bold move. With Disney-ABC reversing its vaccine mandate and GH welcoming back Steve Burton (a.k.a. Jason Morgan), Rademacher wanted to return, too. He argued that ABC’s policy change proved they had unfairly singled him out. But the courtroom drama didn’t go in Rademacher’s favor.
According to In Touch Weekly, a Los Angeles Superior Court Judge wasn’t swayed by his latest attempt to revive the case. The judge denied his motion, shutting down his hopes of taking ABC to trial. The court couldn’t say “with intellectual honesty” that Burton’s rehiring-on its own-would change the outcome of Rademacher’s original case.
