Ingo Rademacher is showing no signs of slowing down when it comes to his lawsuit against ABC. The actor famous for his General Hospital role of Jasper Jacks has been fighting an uphill battle in court. He alleges that his firing from the soap was wrongful. For the unversed, he failed to comply with ABC’s COVID-19 vaccine policy mandate. In his application to the company, he claimed that the vaccine went against his religious beliefs,
However, recently, the court ruled in ABC’s favor, and Ingo Rademacher’s lawsuit was dismissed. But the General Hospital alum is in no mood to let this battle go. Reports suggest that he has now filed an appeal in the matter. Now In Touch is reporting on some new court documents that point towards Ingo pulling Steve Burton’s name into his appeal.
Again, for the unversed, actor Steve Burton, was also let go off due to non-compliance with the COVID vaccine mandate. However, the difference was that Ingo chose to drag ABC and GH into an ugly legal battle, while Steve bowed out gracefully, and even expressed gratitude towards the soap for the opportunity it gave him over the years.
Ingo Rademacher’s lawyer is using Steve’s return to the soap as part of their new strategy against ABC. He wants new evidence considered and suggests that it supports the idea of a political discrimination claim. “It confirms that ABC did not merely lay Ingo off, with the intent of bringing him back later, as it did with [Steve]. They re-cast his role. It replaced him or is in the process of replacing him, with another actor,” the actor’s lawyer stated.
Ingo Rademacher believes that his firing was politically motivated. Had it not been the case, and it was all about the vaccination, then he would’ve been brought back just like Steve Burton. However, ABC refuted the claims and labeled Steve’s return as “irrelevant” to Ingo’s matter. Unfortunately, he does not seem to be buying it and is resolved to go ahead with his appeal.
