General Hospital Alum Michael Easton Talks About His Next Big Storyline

It was truly shocking to find out that actor Michael Easton was bidding a permanent goodbye to General Hospital. A show that had been home to him and his characters for decades! Michael played as many as three characters on the ABC soap, and all three of them were well-received by the GH fandom.

However, his latest and the most prominent of them all was his character – Dr. Hamilton Finn. And that’s the one he exited the soap as. We have to admit it was a really heartwrenching scene to see him bid goodbye to his daughter Violet, and then his brother Chase as the latter drove him off to rehab.

All things said and done, Michael Easton really had a fantastic run on General Hospital. However, now that he is done with the ABC soap, we can’t help but wonder what’s next for the seasoned actor. In a recent chat with Soap Opera Digest, the Daytime star asserted that he is certainly not done yet!

“I’ll be trying to find that right part, that next great storyline…I don’t know where that will come from,” Michael Easton revealed. We wonder if this “great storyline” could come up on the other three thriving soaps that are currently on air. He did play Tanner Scofield on Days of Our Lives. In fact, that’s where he started his soap career. So, could we see him returning to DOOL?

It is certainly possible! the Peacock soap just loves bringing back past characters! Or, maybe he could find a new meaty role on CBS’s The Young and The Restless, or its sister production The Bold and The Beautiful. However, Michael need not limit his options to Daytime. For an actor of his caliber, a Primetime gig or even an off-beat short film is very much plausible!
