The past year has been one heck of a rollercoaster for the General Hospital star Cameron Mathison. He went through a nightmare when the deadly LA wildfires left his house in shambles. Still, Mathison has been an absolute beacon of positivity and chose not to dwell on what was lost. Instead, he’s been focusing on what remains. Finally, he’s found a place to call home again. General Hospital: Cameron Rises from the Ashes with Gratitude
The General Hospital actor swung by Instagram to share a “quick life update” because everybody has been worried sick lately. Cameron begins with, “I’ve received so much unbelievable support and a lot of questions as to how I’m doing.” Most importantly, does he have a place to stay?
Well, the answer is yes! While the first three weeks were “tricky,” Mathison has settled into a rental home in Silver Lake, California. He even treated fans with a little house tour, saying, “It’s got some levels to it, which is really nice.” Moreover, the seasoned performer secured a souvenir from his last place, “I managed to save this beautiful little Buddha.”
Honestly, moving into a new place after a tragedy is no easy task, but Mathison isn’t doing it alone. His friends have been super kind, and co-star Eva LaRue deserves a major shoutout! The actress came bearing a sweet housewarming gift for Cameron– a sofa. “I’ve had places to stay from friends, and I’m gonna forget some things but so much kindness and generosity,” he shared.
Mathison’s New Journey Begins
Furthermore, Mathison admitted how “logistically and emotionally” draining these past couple of weeks have been. The soap star is beyond grateful to have found a place to crash for all the unconditional and abundant support. “I just wanted to say thanks to everybody. I haven’t posted about everything, but I love you guys,” he shared.

Cam, the feeling is mutual! We’re content to see him embracing a fresh start. However, we’ll still have reservations for Drew Quartermaine, who also moved into a new home. No redemption? No sympathy! For now, Mathison is rebuilding his life piece by piece and counting on our love.
