Hudson West as Jake Webber came dangerously close to exiting GH due to his latest storyline, reveal General Hospital Comings And Goings. However, reports confirm that the young actor is not exiting the soap after all, and will continue to be part of the ABC drama in a recurring capacity.
Those who tuned into the latest Gh episodes, saw Jake giving Liz the excellent news of getting accepted into a prestigious art school in Spain. When the storyline twist first came to light, speculations began circulating that Jake’s Port Charles exit would push Hudson West off the canvas.
But that’s not true at all. Sources close to the production confirm that Hudson West will remain part of the GH cast. So, it will be quite interesting to see how his Spanish art school story pans out. It sure has brought him and his father Jason on the same page. In the recent episodes, Jason tried to leave money at Liz’s doorstep to help cover Jake’s school fees.
However, Liz caught him and invited him inside to come and have a face-to-face chat with his son over the matter. In an emotional conversation, Jason promised Jake that his financial help does not have any strings attached to it, and he isn’t expecting anything in return. Despite his reservations about his previously absent father, Jake accepted the money.

The two even shook hands and shared an embrace. We wonder if this little heart-to-heart will help thaw the ice between father and son. Thus, opening the door for them to have a real relationship. Something that Jason’s absence deprived Jake of for most of his young life. Liz certainly wants to do whatever she can to help reform that broken bond.
