The upcoming episode on August 27 promises some heated moments, particularly between Ric and Alexis Davis, Molly’s mom. But is there more to the story, especially with Elizabeth? Romance Rekindled?
General Hospital fans are excited to see Ric back, but what got them talking is his run-in with another ex, Elizabeth Baldwin. Could there be a romantic reunion on the horizon for these two? Rick Hearst, who plays Ric Lansing, recently chatted with Soap Opera Digest about what’s coming up.
Moreover, he shared that Ric’s scenes with Alexis will focus on supporting their daughter, Molly, through her tough time. Moreover, Alexis has a lot on her plate, dealing with not just Molly’s grief but also Kristina’s struggles. She could really use Ric’s help right now, but we can’t expect Ric to fully grasp the challenges Alexis is facing.
The man is all about supporting Molly, which might cause friction between him and Alexis. After his conversation with Alexis, Ric makes his way to the hospital, where he unexpectedly bumps into Elizabeth—along with Carly Spencer. Longtime fans will remember that the last time Ric was in town, he was still hoping for a reconciliation with Liz.
However, things went south when Ric hired Hayden Barnes to pretend to be “Jake Doe’s” wife. He hoped to keep Jake (who was Jason Morgan) and Liz apart. However, Carly exposed Ric’s scheme, and that was the end of any chance between him and Liz. Furthermore, Hearst mentions that when Ric sees Liz in this “loaded moment” after so long.
It’s quite a surprise, especially with Carly right there, right? Ric had wanted to talk to Liz, but Carly jumps in and completely derails the moment. Additionally, she forces Ric to back off. He doesn’t want to get into a deep conversation with Elizabeth while Carly hovers around. So he retreats, but not before telling Liz, “I hope we can catch up sometime soon.”
It seems Ric might still have feelings for Liz and things could get really interesting. Elizabeth has already had some scenes with Jason Morgan and there are whispers that Lucky Spencer might also return. With Ric, Jason, and possibly Lucky in the mix, Liz’s love life is about to get a lot more complicated!
