Overall, things are finally looking up for Holly, but sadly, the same can’t be said for her portrayer. Emma Samms is going through something truly heartbreaking!
General Hospital: Samms Mourns the Loss of Willis
The General Hospital actress is living through a very sad chapter. Samms announced on Instagram that she had to say goodbye to her cherished pup, Willis. Emma’s tribute to her loving pet, coming straight from her heart, was something that any pet parent can relate to! She began with, “Sad news, I’m afraid: yesterday we had to say goodbye to Willis.”
Additionally, the GH diva described her late pup as “cute, consistently grumpy,” who loved to rest on people’s laps. According to her, Willis embodied the “classic terrier Napoleon complex.” Samms added, “He was very loved, and he knew it. #Willis #rescuedog” FYI, the four-legged angel was Emma’s companion for 15 years.
Moreover, Willis enjoyed a comfy stay at Emma’s Cotswolds home with her and dad, Simon McCoy, a British journalist. And let’s not forget about their other labradoodle, Chester, who was like a brother to Samms’ late doggo. Unfortunately, his age caught up to him, and his vision and hearing faded. Nevertheless, Willis remained a beloved part of the family.

On a bright note, Emma’s Instagram is a gallery of Willis’ adorable moments. The cute munchkin is looking into the camera with an empty bowl at his feet. “15-year-old Willis can barely see or hear anything these days but knows when it’s his dinner time,” Samms wrote. In addition, another shot shows him basking in the sun on #LoveYourPetDay.
Emma applauds The Blue Cross for their work with homeless pets. Now, let’s talk about the rule-breaking photo where Willis and Chester are lounging on the forbidden couch. The caption reads, “When you tell your dogs that they absolutely, definitely must not sit on the couch.” Well, rules don’t apply to royalty like Willis. He was obviously more than a dog for Samms —he was family. Rest in peace, Willis.
