General Hospital: Attempted Robbery Claims Johnny’s Life
The former General Hospital star noticed three men tampering with his car in the early morning on the morning of May 25, 2024. Although details are limited, the incident aligns with a report of three suspects trying to steal a catalytic converter. Moreover, Scarlett revealed that Johnny didn’t try to confront the suspects, but they shot him anyway before fleeing the scene.
According to police reports, the paramedics arrived shortly after 3 am PT, but it was too late. The doctors pronounced Wactor dead at the hospital. The authorities haven’t released a description of the suspects, but Scarlett is hopeful they will be caught soon. Johnny’s mum described him as a loving young fellow whose death has left a huge void in their family’s heart.
In the wake of this heartbreaking news, Wactor’s General Hospital co-stars expressed their grief and shared tributes to their late colleague. Sofia Mattsson (Sasha) wrote, “My heart is utterly broken… Johnny was the absolute best. So genuine. Incredibly hard-working and humble.” Meanwhile Ashton Arbab (Dev Cerci) called Johnny “a great human, a kind soul, an inspiration on and off set.”
Additionally, Arbab talked about Wactor’s craft. “His talents always surprised me and allowed me to learn so much from the craft just by watching his work.” The late star appeared in nearly 200 episodes of the Emmy Award-winning soap opera. His character, Brando, was a relative of mob boss Sonny Corinthos, who met his end as a victim of The Hook in 2022. Like his character Brando from General Hospital, Johnny was also a military veteran.
Besides GH, Johnny starred in shows like Westworld, The OA, NCIS, Station 19, Criminal Minds, and Hollywood Girl. Sadly, Johnny is survived by his mother and his younger brothers Lance and Grant. We hope justice is served quickly and those responsible are put behind bars soon. We’re keeping the late star in our thoughts and prayers.
