All her loved ones had to bid her farewell after she passed away during a transplant surgery. Now, as that episode aired on November 1, 2024, a farewell video of Kelly Monaco, who portrays Sam McCall, has surfaced all over the internet.
Kelly Monaco has successfully spent more than two decades on GH, which clearly suggests that parting ways is not easy after spending decades on the show. Kelly Cries Her Heart Out!
One of Sam McCall and Kelly’s fans has shared a video on social media where fans can see Kelly’s last moments on the set of GH. The actor soon after finishing her final scenes for the show bid her team an emotional farewell. Kelly was wearing a hospital gown as Sam’s last scene was in the hospital, where she passed away after the surgery. In the video we can see her delivering an emotional speech, looking all teary and heartbroken. Obviously, it was a difficult moment for Kelly.
In the video, the actress was carrying a bouquet most probably offered to her as a token of love and all her fellow cast and crew members were around. While addressing them all, Kelly said, “I’ve been on this lot for 25 years, and you have all been my family—not only my second family, but my first family. And I just thank each and every one of you for all these memories and this experience that I’ll take with me for the rest of my life.” The actress also expressed gratitude to Mark Teschner saying, “You started this whole journey for me, and it has been a wild ride, and it will not be the last that you see of me. Thank you very much for having me.”

After her speech, Kelly shared hugs and love with a few of the attendees. Her expressions disclosed she could burst into tears at any of those moments. Kelly became a part of General Hospital on October 1, 2003, and entertained her fans all this time as Sam, the charming, iconic, and gutsy diva. While being part of the show, she received a Daytime Emmy award nomination although, she received another same nomination for portraying Tess/ Livvie Locke on Port Charles. Her long run on the show came to an end with Sam’s demise.
Her last moments brought tears to many eyes and now this video of Kelly’s farewell will again make all her fans miss her even more. Kelly’s fans will look forward to seeing her in another new avatar as soon as possible. Though there is no information on her latest work, let’s hope she shows up on the screen with some fresh role.
