Join us in celebrating a fantastic milestone for General Hospital star Kin Shriner! He first embraced the role of Scott Baldwin on the ABC soap on August 2, 1977. That’s right, it’s been forty-seven years since his daytime debut! Over the years, Shriner has portrayed various roles in different soaps. Shriner shared a fun video on social media to mark this special occasion. Check it out below.
Kin’s Heartfelt Thank You to Fans
The General Hospital actor has many notable roles under his belt. These include Jeb Hampton on Texas, Dr. Brian Carey on B&B Harrison Bartlett and Jeffrey Bardwell on Y&R. He even reprised his role as Scott on the GH spinoff, Port Charles. What a journey! In the new hilarious clip, Steve Burton is behind the camera and Kelly McCue handling the editing.
Moreover, it kicks off when Shriner knocks on his own dressing room door. He steps in to have a chat with Scott Baldwin about some legal advice. In his typical fashion, Scott warns him that his services come with a hefty price tag! The video then takes a twist before cutting to Shriner talking directly to his fans.
“As I hit this 47-year anniversary, I want to thank all of you who followed me on other shows.” Additionally, the soap legend is grateful for letting him spill into their living rooms. Kin added, “It means a lot to me, and I thank you for your loyalty.” He concluded his message with, “Stay tuned! More to come. Thank you.”
Leading up to his big day, Shriner shared a montage clip set to “I Was Made for Lovin’ You” by Kiss. It features vintage snaps of him with some of Scott’s greatest loves on GH. Talk about nostalgia! You can spot him with Genie Francis’s Laura, Jacklyn Zeman’s Bobbie, Robin Mattson’s Heather, Shell Danielson’s Dominique, and Lynn Herring’s Lucy.
Furthermore, Shriner has taken breaks from the ABC soap over the years to work on other projects. But he never disappoints his GH fans and always finds his way back to Port Charles. Whenever anyone in town needs a slightly shady lawyer ready to do whatever it takes, Scott Baldwin is their guy. Here’s to many more years of Kin Shriner on our screens!
