May 25, 2024, was a really dark day for American Daytime. Beloved General Hospital alum, Johnny Wactor, was shot and killed in an attempted catalytic converter theft. The actor was only 37 years old at the time and was popularly known for playing Brando Corbin on the ABC sudser.
LAPD has been actively investigating Johnny Wactor’s murder case ever since. However, after failing to make much progress in getting hold of the suspects, the Los Angeles Police Department has now released pictures of the suspects and vehicles that are connected with the heartbreaking killing of the actor.

As per reports, in the early hours of May 25, 2024, Johnny was leaving from his shift as a bartender when he saw that three men had raised his car using a floor jack. It all went down at the 1200 block of Hope Street in downtown Los Angeles. Unfortunately, when he confronted the men, they shot him and fled the scene in a stolen 2018, black, 4-door, Infiniti Q50 with a tan interior.
We can only hope that releasing the suspect and vehicle photos to the public will bring in some information that proves fruitful to the LAPD in nabbing the suspects and bringing the shooters to justice. The shockwaves of Johnny Wactor’s passing can still be felt even after so many months of his passing.
He was a man loved by his family, friends, co-workers, and fans alike. May he be at peace wherever he is, and may justice prevail.
