General Hospital star Haley Pullos has had a rough past year owing to her DUI hit and run, and subsequent arrest. Currently, the daytime star is serving a 90-day sentence in jail for the accident where she hit the car and also leaving the other driver injured.
Additionally, she has also been given 5 years probation and 200 hours of community service, plus the loss of her license for a year and having to pay out $8,000 to the injured driver. In light of the above sentencing, and the uproar the entire incident created on social media, Haley Pullos’ on-screen mom, General Hospital star – Nancy Lee Grahn rose to her defense.
In a series of X (Twitter) posts, Nancy defended GH’s former Molly. “For those who wished for Haley to be punished with no exceptional treatment, you’ll be relieved to know she’s in maximum security solitary confinement alongside hardened criminals,” the General Hospital actress lamented.
Furthermore the soap vet shared that Haley is totally isolated, except for an hour everyday. Nancy also shared that she recently spoke to her on-screen daughter and former co-star on the phone. She also relayed to their fans that Haley is showing immense with her strength, resolve, and accountability.
The General Hospital star was extremely impressed by Haley’s remorse and the fact that she has made “NOT ONE COMPLAINT. Not one “Why me” She’s taking it all and it’s ALL beyond horrible… with stoicism & grace.” Speaking about the prison facility, Nancy pointed that the guards are being very nice to her and even gave a special mention to “Warren.”
Additionally, Nancy Lee Grahn also took a moment to clear the air about the picture media reports have been painting of Haley Pullos. “I’d also like to add that much of what you read about her was not true. She’s always been respectful, an A student,” said the General Hospital star.
Nancy also clarified that Haley was not in some “Country Club” kind of facility, but a rehab that Nancy herself found for her. The soap star added that the facility cost Haley every penny that she had. General Hospital’s Alexis portrayer insists that Haley has never gotten into any trouble and that it was just one mistake that night, and she has taken full responsibility.
“Hayley drank excessively and got in a car. She is paying for that while at the same time assisting her victim in getting as much compensation as possible.” Nancy signed off. Well, we hope this will give reader’s some perspective on what actually happened. Meanwhile, we hope Haley gets through it all with courage.
