Port Charles never stays quiet for long. The General Hospital Recap for March 2, 2026 confirms that Monday was absolutely no exception. Old loyalties splintered, a major investigation went cold and one woman’s hunger for power set a dangerous new tone.
Willow Steps Into Power And Laura Issues a Warning
Willow officially took over Drew’s congressional seat, and the transition was anything but smooth. A photographer captured an awkward photoshoot featuring a wheelchair-bound Drew beside his successor. Laura arrived mid-shoot and pulled Willow aside for a pointed conversation. She asked Willow directly whether she planned to serve her constituents or settle old scores. Willow insisted her focus was on the people, but her private words later told a very different story.

Ezra arrived shortly after and immediately began pushing Sidwell’s agenda. Laura stepped in and urged Ezra to back off and let Willow find her footing. Ezra reminded Laura about what happened to Dalton. That warning clearly landed hard. Meanwhile, Willow kept Kai on staff, citing Drew’s trust in him. Once everyone cleared out, Willow revealed to Drew that she was ready to use her new position for personal gain. Drew could only sit there and listen.
General Hospital Recap: The Drew Shooting Investigation Hits a Dead End
Over at the PCPD, Dante, Nathan and Justine brought Kai in for additional questioning. They pressed him on who could have accessed Drew’s home. Kai confirmed Michael never had a key, and neither did Wiley. The lead dried up instantly. Justine pointed her finger squarely at Chase, certain he had planted the key on Michael. But certainty and proof are two very different things.

With no solid evidence, Justine officially labeled the case a cold case. Dante then called Michael to the station and delivered the news directly. The investigation was done. However, Dante noted Michael might still carry a cloud of public suspicion. Later, Justine met with Sonny at Charlie’s Pub and confirmed the investigation had gone cold. Sonny’s interest in the ADA, though, remained anything but professional.
Curtis and Portia Say Goodbye as Trina Struggles With the Loss
Trina showed up at the house and stopped cold when she saw Portia inside. Her parents explained the plan – sell the home, split the proceeds, move forward. Lucy Coe arrived almost immediately, and that fast pace clearly rattled Trina. Portia stepped in and made one thing clear – their bond wasn’t going anywhere with the house.

Curtis, visibly emotional, briefly stalled when it came time to sign the paperwork. Outside, Trina and Kai discussed the police questioning and wondered whether Willow had planted the key on Michael. Trina wasn’t happy to learn Kai had accepted Willow’s offer to stay on staff.
General Hospital Recap: Chase Tries Romance But the Night Ends in Shock
At the Quartermaine mansion, Tracy grilled Brook Lynn about Chase’s ongoing conflict with Michael. Brook Lynn defended her husband and held firm on her belief in him. Ned later cornered Chase in the foyer and accused him of prioritizing Willow over Brook Lynn.

Chase pushed back but clearly felt the pressure. Determined to make things right, Chase surprised Brook Lynn with a spontaneous date. The two shared a sweet moment – until Brook Lynn looked past him and let out a gasp. Whatever she saw stopped her cold.
