General Hospital: Sonny’s Long Lost Son Returns After Getting The Boot From DOOL

In the perfect world, Days of Our Lives’ loss would become General Hospital’s gain! News recently broke out that the Peacock soap has fired the extremely popular soap star – Brandon Barash. The actor was famous for portraying Stefan DiMera, one of the (many) children of the iconic Stefano DiMera.

However, we would like to remind soap fans, that Brandon Barash also happens to be a General Hospital alum. Yup! Long-term fans would remember him as Johnny Zacchara – a member of the Zacchara mob family. Interestingly, he was also related to the Corinthos family on the soap. Sonny Corinthos once became Johnny’s stepfather through marriage.

It has been quite a while since we have seen Johnny Zacchara on the soap, but this could be the perfect time to bring him back! GH has been trying different things in an attempt to revamp the soap and has been bringing in many new and past characters to the soap. Admittedly, some have been hits while others not so much.

However, we have a feeling that if the makers bring back Brandon Barash as Johnny Zacchara, fans may actually love it. Especially since one of his earliest lovers on the soap is making a comeback too! We are talking about Lulu Spencer if you haven’t guessed already. The two dated for a while between 2008 and 2009. Sure, it was not a long-term super romance, but the characters had sparks!

So, it could be fun to revisit the relationship if Johnny returns and Lulu wakes up! Bradon Barash is a terrific actor and can pull off every emotion and character trait quite well.
