There aren’t many people who can actually stand tall against the legendary Sonny Corinthos, point General Hospital Spoilers. However, Ava Jerome is certainly one of the few who can! She has shown time and again that no matter how hard you push her down, she will bounce back, and how! Currently, Sonny has earned her wrath after throwing her to the streets!
Until recently, the two were a team. However, after Ava’s involvement in Alexis’ disbarment came to light, Sonny threw her out. Ava swore revenge against the mobster and decided to snatch custody of their daughter Avery from him. General Hospital Spoilers recall that in the recent episodes, she forced his pharmacist to switch his pills to a total placebo.

She wants Sonny to completely fall off the rails and have a very public mental breakdown so that he can be proven mentally unfit to care for their daughter. The latest GH updates hint that Ava may actually succeed in her plan. We know how sketchy and volatile Sonny has been acting on his reduced-capacity pills. So imagine how he will behave on total placebos!
The second someone riles him up, Sonny is going to explode, that’s certain. The only thing remaining to be seen is who ends up becoming his victim. Will it be Ava herself, or someone else? We’ll find out soon! But whoever it is, Sonny may end up being so violent that he will be declared criminally insane. Eventually getting hauled off to Ferncliff.
Valentin and Brennan’s initial plan was to make Sonny go a little unhinged and land in prison. But Ava has added her own flair to the plan and will ensure that Sonny remains locked at Ferncliff for a while. Although it is certain that he will eventually get released, the buildup to it will be interesting to watch!
