General Hospital Spoilers from recent years is proof that the soap is not afraid of killing off mainstay characters. In recent times, we have seen the shocking demise of resident evil – Victor Cassadine and, most recently, Sam McCall. Currently, there is another front-line character whose life is hanging in the balance – Dex Heller. Career criminal Cyrust Renault stabbed the police officer in the previous episodes.
Although Dex survived the initial stabbing, a dark twist is waiting to happen. The latest General Hospital Spoilers tease that Cyrus Renault isn’t done with Dex yet. He may resurface at the hospital and pull off the same stunt that he did with Sam. That is, injecting a lethal dose of Digitalis in Dex’s IV bag. While it won’t be impossible to save his life, even if it does happen, yet we have a feeling that the writers have another plan.
Dex repeatedly keeps talking about how excited he is to go back home. And history is proof that every time a character goes on and on about wanting to do something, they just don’t. In fact, in a recent episode, Joss dropped by GH to meet Dex, and the two shared some really cute and romantic scenes. They even made plans to take a nice warm beach holiday once Dex recovers. And that’s just adding to the ominous feeling.
What if the makers create a fake sense of safety by showing that Dex is currently recovering well? They did the same thing with Sam. They downplayed the whole procedure, and then boom! Sam was gone in the blink of an eye. Of course, thanks to Cyrus. What if the same thing happens with Dex? Cyrus knows Dex is on to him because of their confrontation. And he is not a man who likes leaving loose ends.
The spoilers reveal that Joss is about to get a piece of life-changing news in the December 13, 2024, episode. Could this news be about Dex losing his life due to a digitalis overdose? As of now, things aren’t looking that great for Dex. So, there is a chance that Evan Hofer is on his way out. However, there isn’t any confirmation about his exit yet. So, we guess we can still hope for the best!

Dex has become too good of a person. Look what they just did to Willow. Good people rarely last. She wouldn’t have even looked at Drew before. She was over the moon for Michael. Cyrus is just an old evil man. And really you can quote bible verses all day and still be evil. Look back on some of the television preachers. They were greedy ugly people. Most of the biggest got caught. I only know of one who never got into these messes and that was Billy Graham. A real God believing man. I don’t think GH should drag this sick plot too far.
