General Hospital: Tabyana Ali Addresses Online Hate, Calls for Peace and Reflection
On Sunday, the General Hospital actress took to her X/Twitter account to share her views. Tabyana began by addressing her haters, saying it’s okay if they hate her. She added, “I don’t know you, and you don’t know me, but regardless, I’m sending you peace, safety, and prosperity.” Moreover, Ali wished her trolls could go outside, see the sun, eat a good meal, and find something to do.
The GH fame also urged her followers to send a ‘🪞’ (mirror emoji) to tackle the hate. So, the haters can reflect on themselves and start becoming the person God intends them to be! She expressed, “This is the last time I’m going to speak on this today, but we cannot feed into people’s hate.” Furthermore, Ali stands firm that we can’t give it (hate) back, we shouldn’t stoop to their level because it’s futile.
“We are fighting too many wars as it is. I believe we will have our world peace,” said the General Hospital luminary. However, she believes we need another way to fight because ignoring doesn’t work, but neither does giving the energy back. It just goes in circles. Ali added, “Everybody might not agree with me, but that’s okay. I just want to let ‘those’ people know I see you.”
At last, Tabyana penned, “I’m sorry that this is the way you feel like you have to be seen.” She apologised that life wasn’t going how they wanted. She thinks if they found something they loved besides hurting people, they wouldn’t have the energy to say these things online! “I promise life is more beautiful, peaceful, and full when you give people and yourself LOVE.” In addition, Ali hoped the haters wouldn’t meet God and feel disappointed when he showed them the life they could’ve had.
“If all you had to do was stop giving out that type of energy and just went OUTSIDE!” she said. After her posts, Michele Jean, co-executive producer and writer of The Gates, responded on X/Twitter. He wrote, “Why would anyone hate you?” And by the way, this question is rhetorical. The showrunner leaves it to the haters to examine their biases against a talented, young Black woman doing her job and chilling.
We appreciate Tabyana for killing them (haters) with kindness and inspiring others to do the same. Tell us what you think about her bold move in the comments. Meanwhile, keep an eye on Soap Opera Daily to stay in the loop for more General Hospital celeb updates!
