The comeback arc of Lucas Jones on General Hospital was quite predictable. Viewers weren’t at all surprised when Lucas bumped into his ex-hubby Brad right after setting foot in Port Charles. After all, Brad snagged his job at the hospital just before Lucas returned as a trauma surgeon. Given their messy past, we knew a showdown was on the horizon. But Van Hansis, who just started playing Lucas, shared some more intriguing info! Check out.
The Plot Thickens for Lucas Jones!
There was no way General Hospital could resist a tempting row between Brad and Lucas. Surprisingly, there wasn’t as much drama as we expected! Lucas handled everything swiftly and clarified he didn’t hate him, but he wanted nothing more than a professional relationship. Moreover, the man isn’t about to let any old feelings creep back in!
But are things that simple in Port Charles? Nope. Van dropped some interesting tidbits while chatting with Soap Opera Digest about joining the cast. “Regardless of the hurt that Lucas feels because of Brad, there is also a lot of history there,” he acknowledged. The actor points out how one may feel a bunch of things at once.
Additionally, the GH star believes Brad is still someone who knows him better than almost anyone. Van added, “There are a lot of conflicting feelings going on, I’ll say.” It’s not shocking that Lucas returned without total hatred in his heart for Brad. The character even got a bit of understanding about that whole baby-napping fiasco!
It’s true that understanding evokes empathy, which might lead to forgiveness. So, will Lucas forgive Brad? If Lucas and Brad do rekindle the flame, just imagine how the former’s family will react! Carly and Michael might not be so thrilled. But that could be peanuts compared to what will hit him next. Hansis teased about diving into an exciting storyline!
Furthermore, he enjoyed working with the GH family both in front of and behind the cameras. “It’s been really, really thrilling to be back on daytime,” Van shared. With Sam possibly exiting, we can’t help but think Lucas will be involved in his sister’s storyline. The poor man has already lost so many—his sister B.J., cousin Kiki, and both his adoptive and biological parents.
Coming home only to lose his sister? Now, that is going to hurt. Keep reading Soap Opera Daily for more sizzling updates on General Hospital celebs. Do you think Lucas is ready for the drama heading his way? Drop your thoughts below.
