Kail Arrives With A Heavy Past In Beyond The Gates
Greg Vaughan, when talking about the possibility of taking on Kail, was very expressive, conveying this tired kind of relief when referring to the last year. You could actually hear it in his voice. He had been off-screen for fifteen months. And even though he enjoyed that time with his kids, he still panicked.
It’s because there were many bills to be paid, and work was slow. And he felt uneasy because he had been moving all the time. He said it himself, that whole faith over fear thing, he repeats when everything feels like it’s falling out of place. However, the moment Michele Val Jean called him, the entire scenario changed.

She basically made it clear that he wasn’t allowed to decline. And there is something almost amusing about the way he said she twisted his arm. And also told him that nobody else could play Kail the way he would. It stirred something deep inside him. Kail isnt a dramatic type who brings troubles along. Vaughan said that very clearly that Kail is internal. And he has been wandering for years and doing his surgeon work.
Greg Vaughan Opens Up About The Work
Vaughan didn’t pretend that this new job felt the same when someone joined long-running soaps. Here, everything works in a particular rhythm. He also laughed about the furniture and costumes. For him, this soap is fresh as they are building everything from scratch.
Not the old sets that he was accustomed to when he would be just standing around, but rented furniture from the past. Everything in this place seems to be more recent, more defined, like a group of people striving to construct the flawless machine. And they are still figuring out how the parts work.

Anyway, he is still very proud of the path he has taken and the characters he has been in. He mentions it as if he owns all the characters, Days of Our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless. He was even half serious when he said that he might have to refer to Deidre Hall and Genie Francis as his mums.
And since that is how strong those bonds are. And it was a completely different kind of emotion he had when he spoke about coming back to Salem to pay tribute to John Black’s passing. For more Beyond The Gates spoilers and updates, keep following Soap Opera Daily.
