Holden Tries To Move Forward In Home and Away
Holden enters this week trying to find some balance in his new life. He had joined Summer Bay only recently. However, most of his days are shaped by what happened during the tragic train crash. After losing his friend Issac, he was left shaken. Elsewhere, Lacey slowly became the person he turned to when things got heavy.
One of the main reasons they bonded was because of the parallel nature of their experience. Lacey knows very well what it means to feel your heart shattered. Theo was taken away from her just a short time ago. And so it was this sorrow that served as a bridge between them. Nevertheless, Holden got a feeling that it might be more than friendship.
But neither of them spoke about it openly. Also, in one of the scenes, Holden shows up at the Surf Club. He was hoping to surprise Lacey. He also signs up for surf lessons, thinking that it may help him stay close to her. However, his plan soon changes. He realises that Mali Hudson will be the one teaching him, which throws him off. He was expecting Lacey to be part of the moment.
Elsewhere, Holden also expresses his liking towards Lacey. However, things get awkward when Lacey tells Mal that she only wants friendship with Holden. Moreover, Holden hears parts of this. He wanted to take a step forward. However, now he is pulled back.
Lacey Keeps Her Distance While Holden Struggles With His Feelings
Lacey continues to see Holden as someone who needs comfort rather than mixed signals. Sophea Pennington, who plays Lacey, says that the connection they have began with empathy. Lacey never wanted Holden to rely on her in a way where he gets confused between grief and affection. She knows that trauma bonds do happen.

Also, Mali notices that Holden is getting attached. However, Lacey does not want him to get hurt. And so she tries to make things clear without pushing him away. Will Holden be able to pull away? For more Home and Away spoilers and updates, keep following Soap Opera Daily.
