The drama is going to escalate following the tragic and unfortunate train accident in the season finale. The soap will be back on Monday, January 19, 2026, at 7 pm. In the final episode, the audience saw a tunnel, and it was engulfed in smoke and debris. It also saw silence after the party train to the Off the Rails music festival derailed.
Moreover, several Summer Bay residents were on board during the crash. Justin, Mackenzie, Remi, Abigail, Dana, Sonny, Lacey, Jo and Eddie were all stuck in the chaos. Just moments before the end, the camera moved to Remi and Mackenzie. The two were found lying unconscious, and their condition was a complete mystery.

The soap will also bring familiar faces in 2026. Brax and Ricky are coming back to the show. The two of them had exited the show in 2016. Brax, with his brothers Heath and Casey, originally arrived in Summer Bay in 2011.
His and Ricky’s relationship was the one that was most heavily covered by the media during that time. Their return is anticipated to cover scenes shot in Western Australia instead of the Bay. Further, even Alf Stewart will share scenes with Brax. Even Roo, Leah, Marilyn, and John Palmer will all be present as 2026 unfolds.
