Home and Away fans have been waiting years for this moment, and now the countdown has finally begun. The long-anticipated return of Brax and Ricky is almost here, with the soap confirming the exact date when viewers will see the iconic couple back on screen. Their comeback ties directly into Tane Parata’s current crisis, which means their arrival will not just be nostalgic.
Home and Away Confirms When Brax and Ricky Return
After months of speculation, Home and Away has officially confirmed when Darryl “Brax” Braxton and Ricky Sharpe will reappear on the show. The characters, played by Stephen Peacocke and Bonnie Sveen, will make their long-awaited return after spending nearly a decade away from Summer Bay.
The pair’s comeback was first announced last year, and fans immediately started wondering when their scenes would finally air. Now, the soap has revealed that Brax and Ricky will return to Australian screens on Monday, 9 March.
Their reappearance links directly to Tane Parata’s current storyline. In upcoming episodes, Tane finds himself in serious trouble after being framed by the villainous Kerrie. With the pressure mounting, he ends up on the run while trying to prove his innocence.
Mackenzie Booth soon turns to her brother Dean for help, asking him to contact Brax. Brax has been living a quiet life in the Western Australian outback, far away from the chaos of Summer Bay. However, Dean hopes Brax might be able to help Tane disappear and stay out of danger. Whether Brax agrees to step in remains to be seen.
What Brax and Ricky Have Been Doing Since Leaving
Stephen Peacocke recently shared some insight into where Brax is in life after all these years. According to the actor, Brax has changed significantly since viewers last saw him. “For all his faults, Brax is always about his family,” Peacock explained while speaking to TV Week.
He added that Brax’s priorities have shifted over time, saying that his focus is now on Ricky and Casey rather than the life he once had with his brothers. Peacocke said that Brax has matured and become extremely protective of Casey.
The actor also admitted he felt excited about returning to the show after such a long break. He said he knew it had been ten years since he last appeared, and when the opportunity came up, he really wanted to be part of it again. Peacocke also mentioned that filming on a remote cattle station near a world-class reef made the experience even more appealing.
While Australian viewers will see Brax and Ricky return on 9 March, UK audiences will need to wait a little longer. Because of the broadcast gap between the two countries, their scenes are expected to air in the UK around Friday, 17 April. For longtime fans, however, the wait will likely feel worth it when the beloved couple finally makes their comeback. Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for more Home and Away spoilers.
