Eden Fowler and Cash Newman have waited a long time to reach their happily ever after in Home and Away. But as their wedding nears, chaos begins to creep in. Between a meddling celebrant, a mix-up over the cake, and a secret she shouldn’t have uncovered, Eden’s perfect day starts slipping out of control. And just when she thinks things can’t get worse.
Wedding Preparations Turn Chaotic
With their big day fast approaching, Eden finds herself juggling last-minute details, only to be met with pressure from wedding celebrant John. He urges her to finish her vows quickly and then checks in with Leah about the wedding cake. John insists that the couple’s ceremony will be a traditional affair, but Eden barely has time to think straight. Feeling guilty that Cash has already written his vows, she starts to panic about her own.
In a moment of weakness, she decides to sneak a peek at what her fiancé has prepared, hoping it might inspire her. Unfortunately, her curiosity doesn’t go unnoticed. John catches her in the bedroom and questions what she’s up to.
Flustered, Eden lies to cover her tracks, but before she can breathe a sigh of relief, John brings up Leah’s progress with the cake again. When Cash later checks in with Leah to clear up the misunderstanding, the situation only worsens.
Eden’s Snooping Backfires in the Worst Way
Still desperate to know what Cash wrote, Eden tries to convince him to share his vows with her, but he refuses, wanting to keep it a surprise. Undeterred, she sneaks another look and finally finds them. But her relief turns to horror when she reads what he’s written.
The vows sound awful, clumsy, and emotionless, a total disaster in her eyes. Mortified, Eden confides in John and later tells Remi at the joint hen and buck party that she thinks Cash’s vows are the worst ever written.
Both insist he’s written from the heart, but Eden can’t shake her disappointment. The tension boils over when she confronts a tipsy Cash later that night. That’s when he drops the bombshell. John had warned him about her snooping. So he decided to prank her by planting fake, terrible vows for her to find. He found her reaction amusing but Eden definitely doesn’t share the joke.
