All goes pear-shaped next week in Home and Away when what begins as an ordinary day at the bait shop becomes a horror. Alf Stewart is in grave danger and the one person standing right next to him may be the last he can trust.
Trouble’s Been Brewing for a While
Eliza Sherwood has been raising some eyebrows in Summer Bay for some time now. Since she hyperventilated during Harper Matheson’s birth and didn’t assist, people have been quietly questioning how stable she actually is.
More recently, Roo Stewart attempted to keep Eliza busy by promising her some money for assisting Alf at the bait shop. Eliza accepted and appeared to immerse herself in the task. For an instant, it seemed things were changing for the better. She got bogged down in her work and seemed to be doing her share.
Eliza Crosses a Frightening Line in Home and Away
As the two of them were together, Alf suddenly fell ill, holding his chest. He requested Eliza to take his heart medication. But instead of having a blind rush to assist him, she replied slowly that she couldn’t locate it, and secretly hid the pills.
From a Home and Away source, it is said that Eliza has a sick fascination with hurting people. In her warped opinion, this was an opportunity to see something “interesting.”
As Alf became increasingly upset and pleaded for assistance, Eliza simply sat and observed. Even as one customer came in and saw Alf was not well, Eliza dismissed them and seemed to be searching for the pills.
And then, when Alf requested she pick up his phone, she informed him the battery had died, leaving him totally at her mercy. Meanwhile, Roo and John Palmer were around the corner, discussing where Alf could be, totally oblivious to the frightening scene just down the road.
Roo Confronts Eliza After Chilling Discovery
Fortunately, John finally arrived at the bait shop. He soon realized something was terribly wrong and administered Alf’s medication in time. His arrival probably saved Alf’s life. Then, Roo confronted Eliza with what had occurred.
Eliza was colder and creepier than ever before, she warned Roo that if she really wanted to hurt Alf, she would have done a better job. It was a moment that left Roo terrified, finally realizing how threatening Eliza could be.
It’s obvious that this wasn’t just a case of misunderstanding or seeking attention, Eliza knew exactly what she was doing. Now, after all that has transpired, Roo may be compelled to take a difficult decision. Eliza has gone too far, and everyone’s waiting to see what else she’ll do if allowed to continue unchecked.
