New Episode Release Schedule Takes Effect
Episodes will no longer air in the old daytime slot on 5. Fans can watch the show on 5STAR. New episodes will be on weekdays at 6:30 pm. The previous day’s episode will repeat at 6 pm. Additionally, viewers can also see the episodes on demand. It is via 5’s streaming service. And the new episodes will be out at 6 am each weekday.
Elsewhere, this change is part of 5’s ongoing streaming-first strategy. And the first was introduced last March. According to the broadcaster, this approach is a “phenomenal success.” It’s because the audience prefers on-demand viewing. And it aims to make the show more flexible. And also drive engagement through the streaming platform. Moreover, the 1:45 pm slot has also been removed. It is to encourage the viewers to follow the new schedule. They can watch episodes at their convenience.

Elsewhere, Greg Barnet, who’s the commissioning Editor at 5, said that they are moving daytime episodes exclusively to streaming as it’s “a natural next step” for the channel. Summer Bay Drama Continues In Home and Away
