Well, here we go again. Just when we’re getting comfy with our favourite characters in Home and Away, something pops up that makes us worry. This time, it’s Bree. Or rather, Juliet Godwin, who plays Bree. A small detail from a recent Instagram story has fans wondering, has she already filmed her last scenes?
From Newcomer to Fan Favourite
Juliet Godwin joined Home and Away in August 2022 as Dr Bree Cameron. From the moment she arrived, Bree’s storyline pulled viewers in, especially with all the ups and downs she’s had, both personally and professionally. She’s been through trauma, healing, messy relationships, and steady growth. Juliet quickly became a familiar face, and it didn’t take long for fans to warm to her.
Behind the scenes, Juliet seemed just as happy to be there. Back when she started, she told Perth Now how grateful she felt to be part of the cast. She said it was a gift to wake up every day and go to the set, and she praised the “fun vibe” and how lovely everyone was. Now here’s where it gets interesting, new actors on the show usually sign a three-year contract, and for Juliet, that time is almost up.
A Deleted Post Has Home and Away Fans Talking
This week, things kicked off after Yahoo Lifestyle reported on an Instagram story that’s since been deleted. It was a photo of some of the Home and Away cast and crew out for dinner. Pretty normal stuff, except for the caption. It said, “Happy birthday @amyweems15 & farewell to @julietgodwin_ you beauties.” Naturally, fans lost it.
The photo featured Juliet alongside co-stars Tristan Gorey and Matt Evans, adding weight to the whole thing. And even though the story disappeared pretty quickly, the damage was done, screenshots were already floating around, and the farewell message had been seen. Channel Seven hasn’t made any official announcement yet. But according to Yahoo Lifestyle, someone from the production claimed Juliet filmed her final scenes in early July. If that’s true, her farewell might hit screens before the end of the year.
Another Farewell Coming in 2025?
If Juliet really is bowing out, she won’t be the only one leaving the Bay in 2025. Earlier this year, we already said goodbye to another big name, Lynne McGranger, who played Irene Roberts for a massive 33 years.
Lynne said leaving was bittersweet, but called the role her dream job. She thanked the cast, crew, and writers, and said she was proud of the way Irene would be written out. She also made a point to thank fans for sticking by her for over three decades.
