Home and Away: Here’s How Luke Found his LOML
Home and Away has been stealing Irish hearts for years. The soap gave us unforgettable characters, twists, and some serious eye candies. One such hottie was Romeo Smith, played by Luke from 2009 to 2013. First, he started romancing Ruby (Rebecca Breeds) Buckton, but it didn’t last long.
The character eventually married Indi Walker, played by Samara Weaving. After four years, Romeo suffered stage four melanoma and disappeared forever from our screens. However, something interesting was cooking behind the scenes for Luke. The actor found love with none other than Rebecca Breeds.
While their characters shared little screen time, the stars had already met each other at a party before joining H&A. Mitchell was about to start filming while Breeds was already a Summer Bay regular. Meanwhile, the couple hesitated about their characters hooking up on the show.
They thought that being together so much would be difficult. Yet, their off-screen chemistry remains unfazed and led to a marriage in 2013. The duo tied the knot in the stunning Kangaroo Valley Bush Retreat in New South Wales. Since then, Luke and Rebecca have built a beautiful life together.
