Lacey Reaches Out As Leah Struggles

In the upcoming episodes, we will see Leah still carrying the same old anger and grief. And both John Palmer and Alf Stewart try to calm her down. However, nothing makes her feel better. But things change when David arrives to ask if Leah will give a victim impact statement for Councillor Wendell’s sentencing. David is the only police officer who is handling the case. And he is also Lacey’s father.

However, Leah isn’t sure she can do it. David later asks Lacey to do the same. However, Lacey is confused that Wendell isnt already being sent away. But she decides to make the statement. It’s because she wants justice for Theo. Elsewhere, David informs her that she doesn’t have to stand in court; rather, she can record it privately.

Later, Lacey learns that Leah is unsure. And so she approached her and explained that recording the statement together would make the case stronger. She wants both of them to speak for Theo. However, assuming she failed to convince Leah, she walks away. However, when she sits down to begin her own recording, Leah arrives. Then Lacey speaks so honestly. And seeing this, Leah feels touched. However, during her time, her emotions take over her. She breaks down before she can finish.
